I am turning out a few small items for a baby shower I am giving for my neighbor next week. I love making baby stuff!

I have not crocheted for a long time and really had fun with this hat called "little sister". Here is the pattern link:little sister pattern

Sweet Oliver

This little boy, just melts my heart.  Now, that's  not to say he can't create mischief!  He is my only kid who took a ball point pen to my love seat.  I guess my slipcover project will have to move up higher on the list!

Oh well, You gotta love him!

I brought home this little dress for Lavender.  All I can say is she said "I want to wear princess ballet!". She wore it two days after school.  I finally stole it away for a visit to the washing machine.

Kids in the Candy Shop!

Leave it to Daddy to make every little kid's dream come true.  He let my little ones loose in a candy shop, EACH WITH THEIR OWN BASKET!  I think their facial expressions say it all!
is this the sweetest face or what?

GUMMY BEARS!

REALLY I can pick what I want?

I am SO EXCITED!

Family Time is the Best!

The Twins in the Garden
Any trip is a great opportunity to spend time together with the kids, and the change of pace was  a nice break.  We only spent the afternoon in Sacramento, but really had a good time.  Here are some photos I especially like!

The gardens were my favorite part of the Sacramento Visit.  I was amazed at all of the roses!  I took so many photos, but here are my favorites....

California Capital Building
As Maxwell is a 4th grader this year, one of his areas of study has been California History & Government.  Naturally we had to visit the State Capital Building.  It is less than a hour away so it made for a nice day trip!

The whole family enjoyed the adventure together! It was fun seeing everyone walk along the parkway.
We toured the inside and got to see the state assembly room.

Here is my family next to the bear in front of the Governor's Office.

There were some interesting skylights and domes in the building as well.  My favorite part of the visit was the gardens.  Photos to follow....

Spring in Paris Dress

Here is one of the new Spring dresses I made for my daughter.

I found this fabric about a year and a half ago.  I knew it had to be a little dress with black buttons.  How cute is she?

line dry

It has been rainy for the last few days...quite a switch from last week when I could hang my clothes out every day.  The good news is my garden is getting the best kind of watering there is!

But, I have been using my clothes dryer again.  Soon the days will be warm and sunny again and I will be out there hanging the wash.

fresh baked!

Lavender and I made these yummy cinnimon rolls last weekend.  It was fun to have her helping me roll the dough.  Just looking at these photos....I can almost smell the cinnamon!

Sprouts, Buds & Blossoms

The Garden is full of sprouts, buds and blossoms. I have a lot of pots and some ground space going, and hoping to have all of the rough weedy areas of the back yard dug out soon! I was only able to dig out one side last year, so much to do when you just move into a place!

So far, here is the progress....

My lettuce and chard have sprouted...

swiss chard

FINALLY the tomato seeds sprouted
There are also sprouts of little mini sunflowers.  I plan on giving some of these cheerful pots as a little gifts.

Here is one of my favorite garden quotes....  " I am not greedy...except for plants!"  I dream of all of the plants and flowers I would love to grow.  Flowers make me Happy!
